The commission has been launching the "Swiss Competition for Phenological and Seasonal Research" since 2011.

The competition takes place every year. It is intended for young researchers who are active in the field of phenology and seasonality.

The work must be in progress or not more than two years old. Maturity, bachelor, master, diploma, dissertation and other research work (e. g. Post-Doc) are considered. New: it is also possible to participate with a project related to culture or the media, making it possible to make the research field known to a wider audience.

The maximum prize is CHF 1,000 and can be awarded to one or more works depending on quality. This support is supposed to encourage communication of the results to a wider audience.

  • The new call for proposals is published every autumn
  • The award ceremony will take place during the "Swiss Global Change Day" in spring.
